"An industrial capitalist society that does not recognize ecological limits but only perpetual economic expansion and has the profit motive as driver, will eventually consume and destroy itself."
I'm glad my sister slaved over the mixer for a delicious alternative.

me mum was in de news on tofurkey day!
The infamous sue schrock got her picture and her quotes in the annapolis news
"The flexible hours have allowed Ms. Schrock to take the afternoon off and help her son Andrew set up his recent art exhibit in Washington. They also will allow her to gather with family in Florida for what she calls her "moonhoney," the week before her January wedding."
Unfortunately she was misquoted slightly; she's calling her pre-wedding time a "mooneyhon" not a "moonhoney"
As of yesterday I was officially hired at Barnes & Noble (in evanston) as a cafe worker. As of today... I was unofficially hired at Northwestern University's Biological Imaging Facility (also in evanston) as the program assistant.
After 3 months of unemployment, I now have 2 jobs. I'm really excited and am hoping to go out for a celebration in a few weeks. (discounts on books & grad school... what more could a girl want? ..besides a kitten..)

One of the exciting things about web development is seeing organizations really take advantage of the tools you set up for them. Unfortunately, this is usually much easier said the done. It's one thing to show a person how to fish, its quite another for them to land a [insert name of large, hard to catch fish].
Last month I completed a brand new site for the Chicago Religious Leadership Network. I wasn't responsible for any of the content, just training them to use the tools to post it.
This morning I came across this delegation report by Paul Horst (and others) on the CRLN site:
Its a well illustrated, very thorough piece showcasing the modest demands Afro-Colombian community on the northern coast of Colombia among the there. Give it a read and send Paul your congrats.
