So finally we have heat in our house! It is provided by electric space heaters, purchased by my wonderful housemate Jeff, costs to be deducted from next month's rent. As will be an increase in our electric cost. Also, something will soon go wrong and our entire house will burn to the ground.Am staying up late preparing cross for mock trial:
- Mr. Snow, is it true that as recently as February 2000 you carried on an extra-marital affair with a coworker named Sally Labelle? Please just answer yes or no.
- Is it true that one night in February 2000 you had dinner at a Sheraton motel with Ms. Labelle and later went upstairs with her?
- Is it true that your wife found out about this event and confronted you with it when you arrived home?
- What did you say to your wife when she confronted you?
Actually what really happens is as soon as I get the word "affair" out of my mouth defendant's counsel jumps up and says "Objection your honor! Question is irrelevant and highly prejudicial to the witness." And I try to say "Your honor, this line of questioning goes to the character for truthfulness of the witness!" And the judge says, "Sustained!" and I lose.
